SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser.
How Do I Enable SSL?
If your website requires SSL, you'll need to enable a custom domain. (There's a guide for this process here.)
Once your custom domain is set up and your A record is pointed at Brandcast, open the Website Settings for your site in Brandcast, and update the URL to include HTTPS:
When you save these changes, Brandcast will automatically generate an SSL certificate for your site.
How Does Brandcast Generate SSL?
Brandcast uses LetsEncrypt to automatically generate SSL certificates. LetsEncrypt verifies domain ownership by confirming that the domain’s DNS resolves back to Brandcast's server.
Each certificate is generated for 90 days and we proactively renew them every 60 days.
